I have an iPhone on ios5 and the baseband is 04.11.08, I know at the moment this means it cant be unlocked but does anyone know if anyone is working on this or if it likely to be fixed any time soon?

The dev-team hasn't made any public announcement about an unlock for the new baseband, but that doesn't mean they're not working on it. Odds are very high they'd like to have an unlock for iPhone 4S and the 3GS and 4 on baseband 04.11.08, so I'm fairly certain they're busy coding away, but no public ETA or any release has been made.
