I know it's a somewhat silly question, but does upgrading to 4.0 also upgrade the baseband? Presumably that will mean no unlock? I can't find what radio version 4.0 gives you!

Yes, it upgrades the baseband and this one cannot currently be unlocked.

4.0b1 can be jailbroken on a 3G but no public jailbreak is available for 3GS or 4.0b2
