I don't save my shsh in the server. But I did save my 3.1.3 shsh in my computer. How can I JB my Iphone3gs new bootrom IS4.0? Is it possible?

I can't see this working, but if someone is on ios4.0 then guess there's nothing too loose.
Definetly don't try this if your iPhone is currently jailbroken. Chances are is that you will lose it and have to join the rest of the 4.0 iPlop crew!!

Yes you can downgrade using your locally saved SHSH with TinyUmbrella
There is no up to date guide since TinyTSS and Umbrella were merged into one app, but you can look at Hack that Phone - iPhone 3G S: Restoring "forbidden" firmware and adapt the steps there.

Please don't refer people to a site that specialises in application piracy. We do not encourage or endorse such sites here at hackint0sh.
As I posted earlier.
Hack that Phone - iPhone 3G S: Restoring "forbidden" firmware is the approved guide for using The Firmware Umbrella / Tiny TSS to do this.

Ok - sorry.
I didn't realise they encourage piracy.

will this procedure work on 3gs old bootrom?
-
I accidentally updated my iphone 3gs to ios4.
I followed these steps(completed 1-3), and it doesn't work.
servers added to the hosts file:
74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com
74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
I get the error(3194) once verifying with apple at the beginning.
I don't have any old SHSH to use.
Does this mean I'm stucked until any further ios4 jailbreak release?

My brother-in-law on AT&T gave me his 3GS after upgrading to iPhone 4. It was bought originally with 3.1.2 or earlier. He said he has maintained updates through iTunes so the BB is 5.12.07 and its on 3.1.3. What tools for Windows (PC) can i use to JB and unlock so I can use T-Mo in the US.
Can someone help me out here?
