I have an iphone 3gs with 4.2.1 on it...my brother put it on it wasnt me. And I need to know how to downgrade to 4.0.1 so i can use jailbreak.me to jailbreak it. Also would there be anyway I can jailbreak this without downgrading untethered?

Do you have a saved SHSH for 4.0.1 for your device? Without that, it is not posible to restore to 4.0.1 and use jailbreakme

Also, if you did manage to downgrade to 4.0.1 and you used an unlock previously - your existing unlock won't work (there is a solution for this - but it's not recommended)
