Error 1611 restoring Iphone4 to stock (bricked?)
Hi All, I had an Iphone4 on iOS 4.3.2 and it was jailbroken. A couple of weeks ago I plugged it into my bro's laptop to charge and for some reason he decided to click on the messages from itunes to upgrade to iOS 5. Now I have a nice little iphone that shows the Apple logo, then the Connect to iTunes screen when you turn it on.
I have tried all the possible solutions I can find online but I feel I'm in wayyyy over my head now. I have done so far 14 restores to try to get my phone back to where it was when took it out of the box but I would settle at this point for a phone that works http://images.hackint0sh.org/images/smilies/frown.png. The phone came on O2 (a brand new replacement) and possibly locked (not sure).
I have posted the last update log. I would appreciate you guys taking a look and tell me what steps I can take to have my iPhone working again...my nokia 7250i backup phone just doesn't cut it anymore.
Please help. Thanks.
My Update Log is here Iphone Update Log (error 1611)
iTunes Version - 10.5.2.11
iPhone iOS Version pre update - 4.3.2
Platform & Version - Windows 7 64bit

If you're just stuck at a 1611, download TinyUmbrella, connect the iPhone, and tell it to 'Kick iPhone out of recovery'. This should work to get you out of recovery. Let me know!

Hi, sorry for the late reply to all those who had commented. After 3 months of trial and error even tiny umbrella and buying different cables, I got a replacement cable from the apple shop and hey presto. Apparently the ones I was buying weren't Apple ones :/ such a simple solution. Thanks for all those who read and commented and I hope this helps people out there.
