Well I've searched several sites and trust this site the most so is there any one that could maybe help me out.... iPhone 4 iOS 4.1 limera1n jailbroken/ultrasnowed was working fine till the phone crashed and i had to restore, now i get this message anytime i wanna get online or check my email,and now my facetime dosent work at all. everything was fine till i restored. I have a legit sim if i need to restore again but didnt use it to activate Facetime, used a C*^^a program. any help please appreaciated....

Did you restore from iTunes backup after you reloaded your OS?

What Cydia app did you use to activate facetime.

I used MiTime. And no I set up as a new phone. I can't seem to figure out what is wrong. And the FaceTime thing is really pissing me off. IF you need any more info please ask I'm not sure what info your gonna need but I'll reply right back and really appreciate all the help.

i'm no facetime expert. The guy behind mitime is the closest to a facetime expert you'll find outside of Apple. I'd ask him.

Prety sure that limera1n's activation dylib i not compatible with facetime though

Also.. the only way to make mitime work on 4.1 is if you had activated facetime with mitime on 4.0.x and backed up activation with mitime before you went to 4.1

yes i activated it prior to upgrading to 4.1 i dont know about it being backed up how do you do that (well its too late now) would it be better if i reloaded 4.1 and used a legit sim to activate the phone (Im using TMobile) then jailbreak and reload all my Cydia stuff? really need the cellular dATA fixed. My MMS works fine and I think I can even tether my internet connection when it works. What would you guys recomend. also I've noticed now when I turn the phone on I get no network at all I have to reboot several times to get the phone to work. maybe that has something to do with what is happening. Just a question Im a Windows 7 user should I maybe try a Mac and use pwnage tool or something ?????

Your symptoms don't sound typical of a clean jailbreak.

When the phone crashed and you had to restore, do you mean you "restored from iTunes backup"

yes the phone went into a ifinite loop and it wouldnt boot op so i got it to go into DFU mode and i did a shift Restore and jailbroke it with limera1n. Is it possibly better to have a Mac use pwnage tool and restore it with a Custom ipsw? hate not being able to check my mail and stuff while on the go. also get the annoying nag that whats wrong with my super phone from friends kills me the most

You didn't clearly answer my question - did you set up the phone as new or restore from iTunes backup (I understand that you used iTunes to restore the OS to 4.1 via DFU mode). The "set up as new" or "restore from iTunes backup" option appears after the next time you connect the iPhone to iTunes after you have got past the "slide for emergency screen"

Well as you tried to set up the device as new, I'm a bit puzzled as to why you are experiencing the problems you refer to.

Did you install anything else from Cydia?

You mention limera1n, this is the tool you used to jailbreak the last time?
