Hey guys,

this is kind of weird and I can't find anyone having exactly this problem on the big web.

Iphone 4, unlocked at the phone shop where it was bought (Oh I live in Copenhagen, Denmark). I updated the iphone 4 through Itunes to IOS 4.3.5 BB 04.10.01 and there are no signal bars. The carrier (Telia DK) is found and 3G is available which mean I can surf on the net, check mail etc. but there are still no signal bars. Everything works except the phone and texting part! not jailbroken btw! Any suggestions?

It's likely that the phone is IMEI blacklisted.
Some carriers implement this blacklist in a way that matches the symptoms you describe.

That would make sence but i've tried it with 3 different SIM cards from 3 different carriers.. same issue! what a weird iphone 4! hehe

How was it unlocked at the shop? Was this an official unlock? Did the problem only begin after you updated to the newer iOS version?

Have you tried restoring the phone to 4.3.5 and setting it up as new (this will wipe all your existing data on the phone)

If it still fails to work, get it replaced under warranty.
