Carrier bundle for iphone 3g[s] 4.1 ios

i have a factory unlocked iphone 3gs on latest bb bl [4.1]

i am trying to insert the carrier.bundle into my phone.

i tried putting them into

/private/var/mobile/Library/Carrier Bundles/

and

cd /System/Library/Carrier\ Bundles

ssh ing into the phone

it worked once now it dosnt seem to work what am i doing wrong

from 4.0 you need an additional patch to enable non signed carrier bundles to be loaded. Have you installed this?

nope i found out that the commcenter must be patched. but dont have much idea on how to do it. thanks for replying

Haven't seen any reliable/trusted commcenter patches for 4.1 yet.

have seen one for ios 4.1 3g but not for 3gs 4.1 from WORTEL... dont know where to find him can post my commcenter here. i am sure it will help others too...

Search google for "wortel patch for commcenter" you'll find the place where he has a long discussion on the suject. I'll get banned if I post the name of the site or the file here.

Thanks for being so diplomatic. It's a pity that the most guy behind the decent commcenter patches for recent iOS versions contributes on a site that advocates piracy.

This deb-File doesn't contain ANY copyrighted material

the carrier.plist is checked for a signature
if your carrier.plist does not contain a signature the installation will fail (old ipcc-files are NOT signed!).

add these lines to your carrier.plist, you will be able to activate native tethering

<key>signature</key>
<data>
thisisafakesignaturethisisafakesignature
</data>

if you want to edit a stock carrier.plist with Preferences it must contain these lines:

<key>ASCIIFileNameRequired</key>
<true/>
<key>AllowEDGEEditing</key>
<true/>
<key>AllowMMSCEditing</key>
<true/>
<key>AllowMMSEditing</key>
<true/>

if you spread this deb-file, please give credits to the producer

Hey wortel since the 3GS 4.0.1 commcenter was the same as the iPhone 4 can we assume the 3GS patch for 4.1 would work as well for the iPhone 4 (when a jailbreak is released)
