Bad Signal
Hey i recently just started using my iPhone 4g, it is version 4.2.1 and baseband 3.10.01. i have to say the signal is very shit, i always lose signal and maybe get none at times. Should i update it to 4.3.3? or is there anything i can download to improve my signal? Thanks.

The strength of the signal would be all dependent on the carrier you're with, the coverage the carrier offers around the areas you go to, whether or not you have a case on the phone at all times(as the iPhone 4 seems to have a problem with the antenna being it was built where your hand goes to hold the phone, and holding it without a case on will most times cause you to drop calls a lot.), and if you are using it with a carrier besides the one it was meant for(i.e. t-mobile instead of att, docomo instead of softbank...)in your next reply, could you please provide more details regarding the carrier you are with and if it's an unlocked phone or not?

Hey thanks for the reply, its currently using a Gevey Ultra Sim and the network is 02. Sometimes when i set my phone down it loses signal its pretty annoying or even when i'm talking on the phone. I thought apple said the fixed this problem with the iOS above 4.0 clearly not, or is it just my iPhone? or Prehaps Gevey Sim? Any thing u should recommend i can download or whatever to stop this from happening?

It's most likely the Gevey SIM itself. This type of problem has been described a few times before and every time, it seems to relate to the Gevey SIM interposer.

So its just something to do with the Gevey Sim then and not the Iphone itself? i suppose its better than not working
