    Default 4.0 Firmware

Hi. So I have an iPhone 4 with 4.0. Can I restore to 4.0.1 or to 4.0? Not downgrading, just restoring. I do not know how signage might affect this.
    Thanks

I do not know if i was clear enough. My brother gave me his i4, which has 4.0 on it. I want to do a fresh restore so I can set it up as mine, but I am not sure if I can restore to iOS 4.0 or 4.0.1 since they are not signing it. I do not know if signing only applies to downgrading or not.
    Thanks

I want to start fresh and kind of do everything again, cause it is kind of sluggish. I dont know what might happen doing so.

    ok, situation just got worse.
I have an iPhone 4, 4.0. I did an 'Erase all contents and settings' and now it is not going past the Apple icon. I had a Pending TSS Requst as of today.
I am trying to restore to 4.0 or 4.0.1 but no succes, since Apple is not signing. The worst thing is that I am not downgrading, just restoring.
    What can I do?
    Thanks

Why did you not backup your SHSH? It is too late now, but Apple only stopped signing SHSH requests for 4.0.1 overnight. If you had a SHSH cached, you can always restore to 4.0.1 (or 4.0 if you have a SHSH for that) and then jailbreak again.

Well, I just got the iPhone yesterday and didn't have the computer with me. I know, that sucks, I did try to save my SHSH with cydia but it had a TSS Request Pending. I don't know if there is a way to extract SHSH manually from the iPhone, but it is not booting.
    Help
    Thanks

Don't rely on cydia when you know the window of opportunity is small. Cydia an take up to a week to request your SHSH from Apple.

The firmware umbrella The Firmware Umbrella will give you a SHSH within seconds

Anyway - you are too late - restore to 4.0.2 - wait for a 4.1 jailbreak.

So I have a really noob question. I am on 4.0.1, and plug my iPhone 4 to the computer and click Save my SHSHs. All right, but if I am not wrong, that is saving my 4.0.2 blobs, if I am correct. I think it is since it says something like that. Now that apple is not signing 4.0.1, can I still save the blobs even though I can not get it from Apple? I mean, tiny umbrella kind of "takes" the blob from the iPhone or from their servers?
    Thank you
