Default Think twice before you upgrade.

This is what I have found.
    a. My wi/fi range has reduced
    b. The phone is really really slow.
    c. My Bat life has gone down.
    d. Quite a few apps dont work.

I have both the 2G and the 3G and both suffer from the same problems.
I still haven't loaded any Cydia apps.

If you do a clean restore and do not reload from a backup you won't have any problems.

Reduced battery life, slower processing and app compatibility issues are being faced by many many many 3.0 users!! I second the original post!

Not if you don't upgrade or restore from backup! Do it properly and it works fine. The problems are nothing to do with UltraSn0q and everything to do with the upgrade to FW3.0

Definitely, the problem is the new 3.0 firmware, not UltraSn0w. Although, even a fresh install of the firmware without restoring from a backup causes these issues.

So how do you retain your data such as Notes, SMS messages and email and everything else if you don't restore from backup in iTunes? Are you saying you need to lose these?

    Thanks

Can you define do it properlly ?
    I did a shift Update.
    Selected the new firmware.
Then I did a Redsnow and Ultrasnow.

It takes over 3 seconds if I am in any app and click the home button.
    There is no way back.

After getting the copy and paste function I just realized how often I use it which is never.

I think this OS was designed for the new phone.

WHat would be really cool is if we could figure out a way to over clock our CPUs. on the 2G and 3G.

    Another thing I noticed.
I no longer see an option to turn 3G on or off.
Did I do something wrong of is the normal with ultra snow.

Upgrades from 1.xx to 2.00 had problems as well. This is a problem that occurs whether or not you jailbreak.
Email should still be on your server? but as for the other, I guess it's just the price we have to pay.
