Default A problem after upgrading to 3.0 version.

    Hello,

I posses a 2G 8GB iphone. After upgrading to 3.0 I'm getting a black screen with error log saying something about kernel panic, iboot e.t.c

I've Tried downgrading to 2.21 through recovery mode and DFU also, and got the phone set on emergency calls only(sim locked).

I tried to unlock it with quickpwn and I got the phone set on recovery mode which I cannot get out from.

I think the modem or BL version has something to do with this.

Do you think you know that it is and how can I fix that up(see the attached photo)?

Drain the battery completely and recharge with phone off....turn phone on and try again..

below is a fix from UnLocker....thank you Unlocker

try and get back to the home screen and No panic! First you are not going to restore to older versions using this iTunes version (I assume you are using the latest).

Lets try some stuff first. For this you will be using the ORIGINAL firmware from Apple. The md5sum of it should be:

    463e37446a342857737a1633470faf8d iPhone1,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw

Just make sure your firmware is not corrupted before we start. If it is (if the md5sum is different), download a new copy!

    FORCED DFU MODE

    1) Now, plug the iPhone to the PC/Mac and wait for the apple logo to appear ( the iphone is starting to boot)
    2) Press and hold home+power until it boots
    3) Right after the boot, count to 5 (5 seconds) and let go the power button (keep holding home)
    4) Now you are in DFU. Try to restore it.

    FORCED RECOVERY MODE

    1) Plug the iPhone to the PC/Mac and wait for the apple logo to appear ( the iphone is starting to boot)
    2) Press and hold home+power until it boots and keep holding until you see the recovery message poping in the computer screen.
    4) Try to restore it.

Let us know if it works.

I tried to upgrade in DFU mode(with 463e37446a342857737a1633470faf8d iPhone1,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw) and I got the black screen with the error log again. I didn't drain the battery, though. How can I drain it competely when my phone either doesn't function on 3.0v or is on emergency dial only on 2.21? Is there a way to do it quickly?

FileFlyer - Upload and send files, fast!

This is a photocopy of the error.
It's happening only after upgrading to 3.0.
If I'm doing restore/DFU to older versions(2+) I'm getting the phone locked and after jailbreaking it's on recovery mode and I cannot get out of it.

    I'm out of ideas.

iSurf, try to post this img at the developers section.
Maybe they can have a clue about the panic log and what is causing it.
