3.0 Tethering on Linux
Has anyone gotten the official tethering feature to work with Linux in any way? I'm running Linux Mint (based on Ubuntu) but I don't see anything new when turning on tethering and connecting the phone by both Bluetooth or with a USB cable. I've checked ifconfig and it doesn't list any new stuff.
install osx? ha. sorry. had to come in and troll. i still have no clue how people can use linux for anything other than a server. then again. i don't know how people can subject themselves to windows either.
I'm actually in the middle of installing Windows 7 just to get the tethering to work. I need tethering for work next week and for vacation shortly after. :)
You're not going to get USB tethering to work without writing a USB ethernet driver for the iPhone... Bluetooth tethering is just standard PAN though, so you might have a shot getting that to work:
