Default Please help bricked my 3G trying to downgrade firmware

I was running 4.0.2 on base band 5.13.04 with redsn0w and ultrasn0w. Phone was running bad and I tried to downgrade to 3.1.3 via itunes with no luck. Now my phone is bricked/in recovery mode. I can't go back to 4.0.2, any suggestions on what I can do?

I suggest you to restore to 4.2.1, then you can jailbreak (redsn0w/greenpois0n) and unlock. Good thing it's an iPhone 3G.

He'll need a 4.2.1 SHSH in order to restore to 4.2.1 now even on the 3G, if memory serves. Without one he'll be relegated to 3.1.2 (no SHSH requirement) or whatever Apple is currently signing (4.3 at the time of this posting)

Well as I read on SHSH - The iPhone Wiki Apple still signs 4.2.1, which is, btw, iPhone 3G's current firmware.

Yes and Apple will continue to sign 4.2.1 requests for the 3G iPhone and 2G iPod Touch for a long time. This being the last official supported firmware for these devices.

Yeah you're more correct than I. I forgot that 4.3 wasn't going to be released for the 3G and 2G, and as such, they've got 4.2.1 still signing for them.
