eikcuhc, I'm also not havingthat option pop up -- perusing the thread, I think it might be because all that carrier info is in our SIM...but still, can't get it to work right now, no photo icon in the messaging app just yet despite doing the install/reboot...

    so yeah, any ideas folks?

Can this be added via a pwnagetool package? I don't have Cydia installed (Never used it), and the repo can't be added via pwnagetool. Any ideas?

I used the link in the instructions to generate a custom mobileconfig.

The first one i generated didnt work because i didnt turn on "Enable Tethering" on the generator page.

And even then it required a bit more futzing around to get the settings to stick.

Mainly, you want to set all the APNs to wap.voicestream.com and then verify that you can send and receive MMSs.

Once you have that verified you then need to get the Cellular Data APN set to internet2 and still have the MMS APN set to WAP.

Once the settings stick it should work.

I found that after i made a change to any APN field i had to shutdown and restart the phone. I would restart right after i finished typing in the APN and backing up one page (Network button at top of settings page) and then going back to the Cellular Data Network settings page. Just to make sure it didnt disappear before the restart.

    Hope that helps.

OK, I got it working as a pwnagetool custom package. Who do I have to contact to upload it? (I don't have RS Premium or something like that)

T-Mobile defaults to really bad quality if it doesn't recognize the phone or doesn't understand what it can do. If that doesn't work, I would recommend the N95 UAProf URL from SwirlyMMS, that always worked for SwirlyMMS on T-Mobile. http://nds1.nds.nokia.com/uaprof/NN95-1r100.xml
Tried both of these settings profiles, rebooted after each. Still crappy image quality. Couldnt recieve mms using the one from apple. Will keep the n95 profile in the ua bar eventho it didnt help. Horrid image quality! lol

That's disappointing... I wonder if the User Agent string itself (not editable) is part of the issue as well...

Have you tried editing that max size field? A lot ofthe phones with a better camera seem to have it set to 1048576 which is 1MB.

Default Is this working on AT&T and not just t-mobile

So it seems as if a number of people have gotten this to work no problem on t-mobile. I have a 2G iPhone on AT&T and none of the MMS settings I've tried are allowing me to send and MMS. I have the camera icon in the Messages app and I can edit the Cellular Data settings the messages just aren't going through.

Has anyone on AT&T gotten this to work?

Ok I did what you said and it still doesn't work. I dont have the data plan so the only way the APN stays is if i enter wap.voicestream.com into the data APN field also. This is what my whole screen looks like now:
