no. mms and tethering are not officially supported in 2g and there are no solutions yet.

Default I think sms.app works just fine

Hi, I was trying to see if sms.app (apple's iphone sms default) could send mms on Tmobile Network and guess what? it worked!!!

you just need to fill the mms settings. Just go to General->Network->Cellular Data Network
(note: its possible you don't find "Cellular data network", in that case you will need to have to enable it first! I got mine enabled accidentally after installing ultrasn0w, it could also work for you 2)

Here are the MMS settings I put in the blank boxes to get it work.

    APN: wap.voicestream.com
    Username:
    Password:
    MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
    MMSProxy : 216.155.165.50:8080

    the rest is just empty.

NOTE also that you may need a data plan to make this work. If you are on T-mobile I recommend you call and get the 9.99 unlimited internet and then in the same "cellular Data Network" in cellular Data

    APN: internet2.voicestream.com

    or wap.voicestream.com or epc.tmobile.com

at least one of those have to work if you have a data plan. You can test trying one and then going into safari until it loads a page... then you know its working!

Please feel free to keep asking...

To make this work on iphone 2g:
    1. download "ActivateMMS2g" from cydia
    2. reboot your phone
    3. go to settings>general>network>cellular data network
    4. you should now see the mms option
    5. idk what it is for other services, but for users with0 tmobile do the following:
    MMS
    APN: wap.voicestream.com
    username:
    password:
    MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
    MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
    MMS Max Size:
    MMS UA Prof URL

--I do not own activatemms2g or any other info provided, im just showing it to everyone else
    hope it works!
