I can't see the option to restrict access to the settings app within this restrictions. Did you do it via the enterprise configuration tool? This should reset your list of restricted applications.

    1. Install Erica's utils from cydia
    2. ssh into your iPhone
    3. Code:
      plutil -key SBParentalControlsApplications -remove /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.apple.springboard.plist
    4. Code:
      killall SpringBoard

the thing is that, when i installed cydia I downloaded various applications and I guess one of them "gave me the power" in the "Restrictions" area to enable or disable icons.... and unfortunatelly, while trying to see why my "mail" icon was missing, i managed to disable "settings", "cydia" and so on.... so right now I am left with downloades apps and few standard ones, like "sms", "ipod" "phone"......

it seems like restore will be the only option left.....

    Do you have SSH enabled?

Was it SBSettings that you used. The "hide icons" option in SBSettings.

yes i have, but still i have no access to anything! since there is no "settings" icon available..... cannot turn on wifi or anything else.... and furthermore, when I go to "search" and type "mail" and try to open an e-mail I get this message: "restricted URL - this URL was not loaded search://com.apple.mobilemail/2/3128.....
if I type "settings" nothing comes up....

SBSettings is access by swiping across the white status bar at the top of the iPhone screen.

If you do this and get a dashboard that drops down after swiping with some icons like wifi, processes etc and then another smaller row of icons like "more", ********* etc then you can try clicking on the "more" icon and then on the "hide icons" option.

in another website i found the "turn off to hide" section that i did on my iphone, which seems that I had installed through SBsettings.... as well as "turn off to disable" where i did that for the "supreme preferences"...... (don't ask why I did these things.....)
