If all fails, try to youtube it search iphone 2g/3g 3.xx jailbreak. There are tons of good videos. Good luck.
As I've already said, several times, I've already tried many different custom ispw's but the end result is always that I get an error while it is trying to up-/downgrade.

I have found no youtube videos or anything on google that has helped me on how to deal with this problem. If you have a certain video in mind, please post the link to it or the name of it, otherwise you're really not helpful. :/

b9i9l9l9y and neutrel: Is blackra1n supposedly more unstable than winpwn and all the sn0w's?

Discard everything you have done and try to start over the whole process again by following the tutorial from iClarified:

iClarified - iPhone - How to Unlock/Jailbreak Your iPhone 2G on OS 3.0.x Using RedSn0w (Windows)

You may to need to put the iPhone into DFU mode in order to restore the 3.0 firmware in itunes.

Redsn0w keeps crashing when the iphone screen says "downloading jailbreak data". This happened before as well, any thoughts on what the problem might be?

    ---------------------------------

Finally! A friend told me to extract the redsn0w folder directly onto the desktop instead of putting it in a Pwnage folder, and this actually did the trick! Thanks to all those who have tried to help me, who would have known that this problem could be solved so easily?

(I'm leaving the original message as it was in case any other person encounters the same problem)
