Default Mail icon missing from settings due to supreme preferences...

    I have a jailbroken 3g iphone 3.1.2 (jailbroke it with "blackra1n".....

the problem is that in my iphone it has been installed by default "supreme preferences" and that lead to 2 problems:

    1) the "mail" icon is missing from the settings, which means that I cannot create any e-mail accounts

    2) "winterboard settings" icon is missing as well!!!!

Now, is there a way to uninstall that f%&@#g "supreme" thing?? I went through "cydia" but there is no "unistall" optino there....and the "supreme preferences" that is there I cannot download it to my iphone cause I have a later version of OS....

If anyone can help I would really appreciate it....

To uninstall an application installed from Cydia on a jailbroken iPhone, follow these steps:

    1. Launch Cydia via the Cydia icon in the springboard.
    2. Select "Manage" from the bottom navigation tab after waiting for Cydia to load and refresh.
    3. Tap "Packages" to view or remove packages you previously installed.
    4. Scroll through the list of installed packages and select the package you wish to remove.
    5. Details for the selected app will appear. In the upper right hand corner tap the "Modify" button.
    6. Confirm by pressing the "Remove" button to uninstall the application.

what i meant is that I have installed both "cydia" and "rock" but in none of them i can remove "supreme preferences" through the procedure you described....

my basic problem is because of "supreme" there is no "e-mail" icon on the settings in order to add any e-mail account.....

In my research, it seem that Supreme Preferences sounds like it is impossible to remove (without restoring your iPhone) because this program does not provide a way to undo the changes it has made so any attempt to uninstall it would still leave many lingering problems.

    We can try though.

connect via SSH or Mobileterminal and type
    Code:
    dpkg -l | grep -i supreme
Hopefully you get some kind of response from this

I know it sounds weird but it did happen......

From what I understand, supreme preferences is implemented partly as a winterboard theme. What a horrible hack

Did you get your mail options back?

I believe any settings you made via supreme settings are still in effect.
