Exclamation iPhone booting proccess problem Help Needed!

Hi everyone. I have a problem with my co-worker's iPhone. I have upgraded it to 3.0 (apple official) because this hacking website told me to, and then to use PwnageTool to create a custom firmware file. Now, after trying to bypass the numerous errors iTunes gave me (those that get fixed with a different cable, USB port, etc.), when I turn the phone on, it never exits the booting process (you know, the one where you get the apple logo until you can see the home screen).

How can I restore/hack/anything else the iPhone (which is the original iPhone, not 3G or 3GS) so that it boots and works correctly? btw I work on an Intel-based Mac, for those of you that might need the info.

    Thanks in advance!

Grab a copy of iRecovery and try and connect to the iPhone while it is in recovery mode. This is steps 7-12 of the following procedure

    Downgrade iPhone 3GS 3.1 to 3.0 (iPhone OS 3.1 to 3.0 Firmware)

If this does not work, post the output from iRecovery here in this thread as this might help explain why you get the problem you have.

Hey Olethros. I downloaded the iRecovery, it's on my desktop, and I started the terminal and tried to run iRecovery. What's in green are my commands.

Last login: Tue Dec 8 08:25:42 on ttys000
    Kevins-MacBook-Pro:~kevin$ cd Desktop
    Kevins-MacBook-Pro: Desktop kevin$ ./iRecovery -s
    dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libusb-0.1.4.dylib
    Referenced from: /Users/kevin/Desktop/./iRecovery
    Reason: image not found
    Trace/BPT trap
    Kevins-MacBook-Pro: Desktop kevin$

What does this mean? How do I fix it?

P.S. I had to put a space before each "Desktop" because it would end up with a smiley like this one:
    Thanks

You need to copy libusb-0.1.4.dylib to /usr/local/lib/

iRecovery is compiled to expect that file is located there. I believe this file is included in your download.

Ok, I ran the program, it opened well, but once I typed fsboot, nothing happened. It just gave me the (Recovery) iPhone$ little message again. If I type it again, same thing. What's the fix?

No /usr is not the same as /Users

the file needs to be moved to the location specified.

Ok. Now I moved the file to exactly Macintosh HD/Developer/usr/lib/libusb-0.1.4.dylib

Developer is the only folder I could find with /usr/ in it. Would another /usr/ (maybe he correct one) be somewhere else?

Here were my results from the Terminal

    Kevins-MacBook-Pro:~ kevin$ cd Desktop
    Kevins-MacBook-Pro: Desktop kevin$ ./iRecovery -s

    The iRecovery log looks fine
/Developer is not really the right place.. There are some directories that are hidden from the finder. This includes /usr/ you should have used the terminal and the mv command to move the file there.

    Try the following in iRecovery.

    Code:
    setenv auto-boot true
    saveenv
    /exit
