    No, but it will give you an unlock.

    The wifi problem can be caused by many different things, some are fixed by a reset network settings, others have had to get their iPhones replaced under warranty. Some have a theory that the 05.11.07 baseband is the problem.

    Thank you - I must admit I am very new to this iPhone thing and do not really understand anything in the thread previously linked.

    My iPhone is under warranty still, but, since I am not an ATT customer I really can't use that or go to the Genius Bar, right?

    I have heard that apple is being difficult with warranty claims on iPhones that were never activated with AT&T. Remember the iPhone is heavily subsidized by AT&T.
