    This can only be done by specialist hardware technicians. It involves removing and reprogramming a chip from the iPhone's main logic board then resoldering the chip again. There are significant risks involved in this process and it is possible that the chip could be permanantly damaged during the removal or reattachment.

    There is no purely software way to do this. If you are trying to get your iPhone unlocked, it may be cheaper or safer to investigate if the carrier your iPhone is locked to offers an official unlock (AT&T and Canadian carriers do not, however carriers in most other countries do)
