    Default iPhone 3G 3.1.2 (7D11) with BB 04.26.08 TO 3.1.3?

    I want to install 3.1.3 on my iPhone 3G 3.1.2 (7D11) with BB 04.26.08.

I'm NOT on AT&T, so i currently have it unlocked.

(EDIT: I CAN get a mac). I have checked iClarified, and there is a tutorial to "How to Jailbreak Your iPhone 3G on OS 3.1.2 Using RedSn0w (Windows)", but it does not mentions unlocking.

First thing, is that it is for 3.1.2. Also, it is scary that the first thing it tells you to do, is to restore from an stock 3.1.2 firmwareˇ?!ˇ!ˇ!!ˇ (wouldn't i loose my baseband doing that?)

What would be the best way to move to 3.1.3 in my case?

EDIT2: looks like the Pownage tutoral in iclarified is still the best way.

Out of curiosity, what reason would you have to upgrade to 3.1.3? There is no functionality provided by the update and only a minimal of bug fixes -- if you weren't impacted by the improper battery life meter there is really no reason to upgrade to 3.1.3 as that was the key fix for the release (aside from the jailbreak hole being closed and the baseband update stopping the software unlocks). You can use FW Changer in Cydia to spoof your firmware version for most apps like the App Store to let you install software that is version locked to 3.1.3.

That said, if you're on a 3G, you can use PwnageTool to create a 3.1.3 custom firmware and restore that to ensure your baseband isn't upgraded.
