Default iPhone 3.0 - Inscreased interference with speakers

I updated to 3.0 and now when I place my phone anywhere near speakers there is massive interference - much more than with 2.2

Has anyone experienced that with the new software?

    Hi

Yes I found this forum when searching about this problem. Since 3.0 the interference has gone from none to plenty. I'd really appreciate any advice.

    Thanks!

I've solved it on mine now so I thought I'd come back and see if it will solve yours too - I was devastated when I got the problem

I have a 2nd generation and finally found that the 3.0 upgrade had changed things so "Location Settings" in Settings -> General was set to ON. I switched it to OFF and problem solved.

I don't need location services (well as far as I know!) and in any case, I'd rather have my iphone playing music with it off than my iphone playing music and the phone being in aircraft mode. That was what I was having to do and got me down, a phone with an ipod in it but you can't have a phone when you are listening to the ipod?!

Really hope that works for you too.

Make sure your usb cable isn't wrapped around or next to any of your speaker cables and try to move the dock further away. that fixed the problems i was having.
