Unzip and make sure you read 00README.txt twice, before you attempt anything.

But I have one question....Is there any boolean that i can manualy add, to make VIDEO MMS posible? I know there is a VIDEO MMS package on Cydia, but when i try to install it it says it conflicts with the "M68AP.plist" in your package, and stops the installation.....not to mention that if it did worked by any chance, it will probably kill your hack....right?
    So got any ideas?
    Thnx again for this.

    PS:
If I add the boolean video-camera - true in M68AP, it ads the MMS option, but kills the camera and enables the video switch. This is a NO NO, cuz I dont wana crash something.

I don't know about VIDEO MMS package on Cydia, as I'm focused on tethering, not MMS. The conflict you mention is probably due to the fact that it does not expect to see mms=true on a 2G iPhone. Adding video-camera=true was probably the right thing to do. You may restore your original M68AP from your backup (remember I told you to backup it before installing my patch) and try to install VIDEO MMS package on Cydia and let it do its magic with M68AP.

Well, I talked to the Video MMS creator, and told him I was using u'r package, and his package wont instal cuz it conflicts with yours....and he helped me manualy change the plist's necesary to enbale the video MMS option. So now I got u'r package and his and everything works great.

Thank u for enableing this, I actually needed to theter this evening to help a frined on her laptop.

Cheers m8! Keep up the good work.

I always wondered why you can't share the WiFi connection of the iPhone, just like you can share EDGE/3G connection.

At first, it may look useless, but there are circumstances when it may be quite useful. For instance, if:
You don't have a wireless card on your computer...
... or you have a broken wireless card on your computer...
... or you have a good wireless card, but you don't have any drivers...
... and you have an iPhone and a WiFi-only connection...
... and you're not satisfied with SSH tunneling/SOCKS proxy...
... and you really want to buy a legal copy of Snow Leopard, instead of forking all that money (or even more) for that functionality.
I know, there are a few apps out there that can do that. But I was always baffled by their prices. For god's sake, $29 is the price for a Snow Leopard DVD. Besides, I really abhor system-wide hooks (you know what those are), because -- if abused -- they may bring your entire system to its knees.

So, I tried to extend the native functionality (misd) for iPhone 2G/3G/3Gs and have it share your WiFi connection.

    Default Wow

This is great.....I would love to try this but I'm afraid I'm a little confused with the commands in the readme. So far I only used the install comand...the rest r a little bit strange .....and the plist editing is no problem. Can u be more specific on the steps...sry to be a pain.

    Thnx! Great job!

I am not sure where do you need help. You should be more specific, also.

Basically, it all boils down to this:
    1. backup those two plists
    2. copy files in the package to their respective locations
    3. make sure those files have the right permissions/ownership
    4. reload com.apple.MobileInternetSharing

Damn, I should've packaged a .deb for this one. But then, people would skip reading the README...

SSH into the phone (or use MobileTerminal) and become root. Then type in those commands, verbatim:
    Code:
    chown 0:0 /usr/lib/libwisd.dylib
    chown 0:0 /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.MobileInternetSharing.plist
    chmod +x /usr/lib/libwisd.dylib
    cd /System/Library/LaunchDaemons
    launchctl unload com.apple.MobileInternetSharing.plist
    launchctl load com.apple.MobileInternetSharing.plist
