    1.- Uninstall iTunes 8.2 https://twerbose.com/t8791
    2.- DFU Restore to 2.2.1
    3.- QuickPwn 2.2.1 (I used pwange_)
4.- Update iTunes to 8.2 again
5.- Alt/Update to 3.0 GM I turned off the internet.

    Now works great

    Thanks!

    This worked for me.

That's odd, I tried the Shift-update method multiple times to go from jailbroken/hacktivated 2.2.1 to activated 3.0 and it just won't work. It still deactivates my iPhone.

I even disconnected from the Internet before applying the 3.0 update and still no luck.

This was on a non-legit 2G iPhone and under Windows/iTunes 8.2 by the way.

    Hey guys

You told here that you were able to remain activated in 3.0 by uninstalling iTunes 8.2

The question is: which version of iTunes did you use?

    Thanks

It didn't work in my case.

When you say "Alt/Update", you are talking about alt+restore, right? There is no update button here.

I'm with a unlocked not activated iPhone now.

No, he means you have to hold alt while clicking on the "Check for Updates" button, this will bring out a dialog where you can select the ipsw file you want to use.
