    Settings/General/About/Wi-Fi Address

One of the bad things that ZiPhone did was set the wifi address to 00:5a:49:42:52:49, this value should be unique for every phone.
OK here is my story, I have had the iphone 2g since launch in the UK, I have never unlocked it until recently, I attempted using bootneuter after using blackra1n to jailbreak, it froze at determining settings after what it said was a successful flash.

This left me with greyed out wi-fi and bluetooth unavailable, so I tried a few things like downgrading to 1.1.4 and trying Kiphone to delete and hopefully replace the baseband, (which I wasn't too sure about)

I tried various methods like redsn0w on 3.0 etc, then I cam across Kiphone.

I read up on this and gave it a try.

During the process I got various 10xx errors while restoring (as it said I would), then as instructed on the third restore using itunes 7.5 to got the phone to 1.1.4, still greyed out wi-fi!?

So at this point I'm thinking, its screwed, so I start to look around and see Zibri's famous wi-fi fix,

I thought hey give it a try, so I did, it seemed to hang and not work, so I updated to 3.1.2 and my wi-fi was back, with Zibris MAC address and still no bluetooth available.

So my main question is can anyone help me restore my initial mac address and regain bluetooth functionality? or am I now stuck with this MAC?

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

You should have stayed with kiPhone (which is a modified version of ziphone to fix some of the worst bits) Never use ziphone, it is a dangerous tool made by someone who lacked the full understanding of the code and tools he managed to keep a copy of before the dev team kicked him out.

Use iLiberty Plus. This includes two optional payloads intended to fix wifi/bluetooth problems.

    iLiberty+ | George Zhu's BLOG

Note with iLiberty plus the default repository for payloads is wrong in the downloaded version.

Q: Iím getting the error ďError on: http://iLiberty.zjlotto.com/repo.plist (10060: )Ē, now what?
A: Itís because I didnít use that domain any more so the host name resolving failed for sure. To overcome, change your repo URL (in Settings menu) to this: http://iLiberty.insideiphone.com/repo.plist and it should work again.

    Thanks for your speedy reply.

    Appreciated.

What steps should I take to recover? I have working wi fi just this MAC address is annoying me now, and my bluetooth is gone,

I understand the bluetooth address is one digit away from the original mac address for wifi?

If this is the case how can I get my orginal mac address with no bluetooth address to compare it with?
