i wouldnt waist your time installing the sinful 2g patch's, they never worked, but this does.

You need a plist editor. I used the one from ipodrobot.

All you need is the correct mms apn info to your tmobile iphone 2G.. I have the same problem before but now i already fixed it.. Try this setting it might help you..

    MMS

    APN: wap.voicestream.com
    Username:
    Password:
    MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
    MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
    MMS Max Message Size: 614400
    MMS UA Prof URL: http://wap.sonyericsson.com/UAprof/W800iR101.xml

I've tried both the Cydia & manual methods to regain MMS on the iPhone 2G. The results are the same with both.
The only thing that would indicate it may have worked is if you go into the Messages app & try to write a message, for a brief second you will see the outline template for the camera button in the Messages app but thats unfortunately it. No MMS.

The Cydia method was "Native MMS for 2G" from the iFoneGuide repository
    &
The manual method is this one in this thread.

Default How do I do that?

Very well then, how do I change APN settings? I poked around settings and I can't find anything inside Carrier or Messaging or Network.

Clues? Should I just update carrier file using itunes in carrier-test mode?
