Default iphone 2g, 3.0 stuck in restore mode, not recognized by itunes

    hello everybody,
    I really need your help
My iphone worked properly until one day it appeared "system restore needed" on the display.
As I'm a person that when doesn't know much about things, likes to learn and I have tried to restore it myself.
I have tried blackra1n, iliberty+, ziphone, redsn0w...nothing seems to work.
The iphone is stuck in restore mode, when I plug it in to the computer itunes doesn't recognize it but on the display of the phone it appears that should be connected to itunes...
I all over my head here.please help me
what should I do to make it work?

Was this phone software unlocked? What OS was it running before it crashed?

Put it in DFU mode http://www.hackint0sh.org/f137/54082.htm
option (or shift on windows) click restore with http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite....1_Restore.ipsw

You may get an error and the iPhone may still be stuck in recovery mode. Some errors can be safely ignored. Please post your error code so I can provide more accurate advice.

That was not DFU mode.. You were in recovery mode. DFU mode runs at a lower level than recovery mode.

1601 is most often caused by incorrectly installed Apple Mobile Device Driver.

    Try:
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
    or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7

and then reinstall iTunes, restart and try another restore in DFU mode.

If that does not work. Go to %AppData%\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Updater Logs\ grab the log file with the most recent date and paste the contents of that log file into pastebin.com. Post the link to your pastebin'd log file here and I can try and see why it gave you 1601.

    me again...
    nagging you...sorry about that
I have removed and installed all software related to iphone (itunes, quick time, bonjour, apple support...) and reinstalled it.
I have put the iphone in dfu mode (it appeared that it was in dfu mode) and tried to restore it with itunes. I have received again the same error (1601).
I have copied the most recent text from %AppData%\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Updater Logs and I have pasted it in pastebin'd.
This is the link: pastebin - collaborative debugging tool.
Is there anything I can do now?

Nothing additional in that log except the error code
    Have you tried iRecovery

Did you put the iPhone into recovery mode first? http://www.hackint0sh.org/f137/54082.htm

Error 23 is supposedly fixable on a 2G iPhone. It is not fixable on a 3G or 3GS and requires a return of the iPhone to Apple.

    See this thread.. http://www.hackint0sh.org/f160/61545.htm

    Try the following:

    1. downgrade iTunes to 7.5 removing all traces of iTunes Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP for download links of old itunes iTunes - The iPhone Wiki
    2. DFU mode http://www.hackint0sh.org/f137/54082.htm and load firmware 1.1.4 Firmware - The iPhone Wiki
    3. use iLiberty Plus to jailbreak and activate (confirm what baseband version you have)
    4. Use iLiberty Plus to erase baseband iLiberty+ | George Zhu's BLOG
    5. you will get no wifi and IMEI missing this is okay.
    6. install iTunes 8.2
    7. recovery mode http://www.hackint0sh.org/f137/54082.htm and load firmware 3.0 ( this will give you back the baseband)
    8. jail break and unlock with Redsn0w. iClarified - iPhone - How to Unlock/Jailbreak Your iPhone 2G on OS 3.0.x Using RedSn0w (Windows)

Note with iLiberty plus the default repository for payloads is wrong in the downloaded version.

Q: Iím getting the error ďError on: http://iLiberty.zjlotto.com/repo.plist (10060: )Ē, now what?
A: Itís because I didnít use that domain any more so the host name resolving failed for sure. To overcome, change your repo URL (in Settings menu) to this: http://iLiberty.insideiphone.com/repo.plist and it should work again.
