Default Instaling SSH to disabled Iphone 2G

    Greetings,

    HISTORY

I've been struggling with a major problem for the past few days trying to recover some important files from a phone.

Happens that my father's got an Iphone 2G and never synced it with Itunes. As any other person he chose to set a password for accessing his phone and protect his personal info. Never had he foresaw his phone's touchscreen becoming partially irresponsive after 2 years of use, this left him unable to enter his code correctly. Because of that he input a wrong passcode over and over until iphone displayed the following message in a red label "iphone disabled connect to itunes".

    PROBLEM

I did try to connect to itunes but it keeps asking me to input the code on the phone, which I can't do due to the broken touchscreen...see my problem?

I have some tech skills so I began searching for a solution, and the only one I could devise was using snowbreeze to cook me a custom firmware containing SSH and patch it to my phone through redsnow allowing me to look for the password file and delete it making it possible for itunes to sync with the phone. There came the most critical issue, the softwares I just mentioned do not support Iphone 2G. Again I searched and searched and found winpwn.

    QUESTION
Is it possible to build a custom image using winpwn (or any other piece of software) that contains SSH and put it in my phone? I have access to linux (ubuntu) and windows systems.

    Many Thanks,
    Saul Andrade

What version of iOS is the phone running? This has a big impact on whether it's possible to do what you're looking to do right now. Let us know and we should be able to help. Newer iOS (4.0+) do not keep this in an easily deletable file...
