Exclamation [Help] iPhone 2g Multiple Errors using iRecovery

my iPhone doesn't seem to be working anymore after installing itunes 9.0.2
I wasn't sure what my original firmware was, but when I tried to install the new 3.1.2 it gave me error 28.
Now I am stuck in [Connect usb to itunes] mode (restore mode?)
I read the forums and they said try using iRecovery and this is the result I got:

[FTL:MSG] Apple NAND Driver (AND) RO
    [NAND] No supported NAND found
    NAND FTL failed initialisation
Boot Failure Count: 0 Panic Fail Count: 0
Entering recovery mode, startng command prompt
    How do I fix this?

I would guess this is a hardware error. Post more of your iRecovery log so we can be sure.

Is there any other way to provide more info?
I was thinking maybe formatting it or bootx via a different address? I honestly have no clue what to do. This is still new to me.

Look at this thread... http://www.hackint0sh.org/f131/45853.htm it seems similar to your problem and gives good information on how to diagnose this further.

Yea that thread is unsolved also.
I guess after looking at all these threads and surfing the web for possible fixes for 48-72 hrs I'm going to unofficially announce that there is no such fix for this.

There is a hardware fix, replace the NAND. The question is do you have a hardware problem or not? There were good details in the other thread about how to determine this.
