Let's say that A2DP can't be back-ported to the original iPhone. Could go either way depending on hardware dependencies.

How about an app to turn on bluetooth audio-out for all audio on the iPhone? The original firmware release for the original iPhone had a workaround to do this. (If you output your visual voicemail to bluetooth it would stay on for iPod/iTunes output from the phone too)

I listen to lots of old mono music and audiobooks so an app that simply output audio in mono to your bluetooth headset would be very worthwhile to people like myself.

Seems like this would have to be a JB app as I bet the official SDK doesn't support it but otherwise seems do-able.

Programmers? What say you?
