Default Did we just get everything we wanted?

    EDIT: updated list.

What was left off and *didn't* make it?

    - USB mass storage mounting upon iPhone connection.
    - MMS for 1st gen.
    - Flash.
    - Background tasks.
    - Ability to edit the dictionary.
    - Sync/"dock" over the air (Bluetooth or WiFi).
    - Video recording.
    - Tasks syncronization.
    - Information on the Lock Screen for upcoming Calender Events (Birthdays) like Lock Calender for Jailbroken Phones.
    - "Flagging" (= "starring" in GMail) of email in Mail.
    - Custom "from" field in Mail.
    - Bluetooth keyboard capability.

    ---------------------------

Having stayed reasonably busy today, I could only periodically check at what was going on in the iPhone launch. Checking the news after a few hours meant being overwhelmed by the slew of new features, which go a long way towards making the iPhone OS more complete.

So my question is: what was left off and *didn't* make it? I can start the list:

    - USB mass storage mounting upon iPhone connection.

Feel free to augment the list.

Winterboard..... well, at least for all the poor buggers who arent jailbroken. Otherwise I was happy that we got so much from the great Jobs.

    Video recording.

Also, perhaps now that programs have access to the dock connector a program for USB mass storage can be written. I don't know if there is going to be an API for USB or not, that would probably be the deciding factor.

I'm sure you guys are aware of this...but you can add words to the iPhone dictionary by using the Google App. For example, if you search for the word "Shit" or "Fuck" it will add it to the list and you will not get "duck" in stead of the F word while typing.

Edit: Meant to say the Google Safari search field.

    Default only

only thing I can think is missing is background apps... That is from the stuff I could EXPECT apple to fix/update. cut/paste and bluetooth is enough atm, but is because I've messed too many times with unlock/jailbreak on my g2 now with no end in sight
