    From the dev-team blog:

"T-Mobile in the USA doesn’t use the 3G frequencies that the iPhones support"

The technology is different, so make sure you turn 3G off before using T-Mobile. in the US.

No, it is just for the US. Did you try to reset network settings?
Also, try to install Ultrasn0w with your t-mobile SIM on the iphone.

You should try first to reset network settings. If it des not work, uninstall UltraSn0w and install it with the SIM inside. If it does not work, restore the 3.0 firmaware, do the jailbreak (all with your SIM on the iphone) and, instead of restoring a backup from iTunes, try to set up as a new iphone

Sorry, it is "the SIM", no "toy SIM", misspelling isuue...
Is your iphone jailbreaked and unlocked? Ultrasn0w is the software unlock.

Restore in iTunes to FW 3.0 - set up as a new phone
Run RedSn0w with your SIM in.
    Install UltraSn0w
