Have now tried numerous TMobile sim cards, all different ages, different packages and payg as well as monthly contract sims.
None of them have worked, it is just a dead end.
It appears that some people are lucky to have one that works with TMobile, while others like myself dont have the luck.
I am now selling mine as nothing seems to work, EVERYTHING has been tried and tested but to no avail.
If anyone wants an iPhone 3G 8gb, unlocked and jailbroken, firmware 3.0.1, bootloader is 5.08. Appears to work on all networks except TMobile, PM me and let me know.
To those of you that are still trying to find a solution then i wish you good luck, but for me 3 weeks of constant messing with no joy is more than enough for me.
After going to TMobile and checking with all types of sims they do, none of which worked, i looked into the possibility of the phone being blacklisted.
Although the phone was brought from a friend, i thought i would still check whether there was anything underlying, so i checked on CheckMEND.
Low and behold it came back with :- This item is currently blocked on one or more networks. It may still work on some networks.
also: - This item has been blocked during its lifetime by one or more UK network(s).
I promptly phoned my friend and asked what the deal was and due to non payment of the bill, 02 have obviously blocked the phone from use as well as his account with them. I am going to call 02 tomorrow and find out what if anything can be done to rectify this.
If no way around it, i will get my money back.
My suggestion to those having the same problem as me, is to check the imei with CheckMEND, it only costs £1.99 but as i have found out, it is definately worth it.
Hopefully this will sort most peoples problems and they will be able to get their money back from wherever they got their phone from.
