    Default Beta Expiring

Does anyone know of the betas only expire when you connect to iTunes and if Beta 2 has now expired?

Im still running beta 2 because beta 3 wont allow me to open Messaging app and I don't want it to expire until Beta 4 release?

    Thank you.

Yep, time to update to beta 3: much more stabile anyway IMO. Beta 4 will probably come next tuesday and I would get that one ASAP aswell.

check lockdownd in IDA. they call time(); (returns seconds since epoch i think) and compares it to make sure that it is lower than a hardcoded amount (the expiry time), or they will put it in expired mode. if you are jb'd your best bet is just to remove the "ReleaseType" key from the SystemVersion.plist and you should be fine.

Or you just install Beta 3, right?

but beta 3 like every other beta has an expiration, if that change works it will definitely be something crucial to do especially for those of us who dont want to upgrade to the next beta till a jb is available.

it is best to just use ruskii jb for b2 or b3 and do what i said to patch expiry. that way you are safe if a new build comes out and no new jb comes out for it. if you let it expire, i do not know how to undo that, so it is best to do this now to protect yourself from expiring.
