Maybe because Apple has been a little hammered in the server department...

I mean, a huge chunk of the day has had rolling timeouts on the iPhone Dev Center - Apple Developer Connection page.

Luckily I do not need unlock and won't miss too much about jailbreak except Winterboard. Activation might be a problem if it requires dev certs.

I'll do the upgrade as long as it does not disable the antenna lol.

Just cancelled my download... I wanted to take a look at it just out of curiosity but it's probably not going to be supported by PwnageTool until it goes final so I may as well pass on this one.

How would I find the vfdecrypt decrypt key for the new firmware? The method changed in the middle of the 2.0 beta process, I just can't remember the new way to do it. Been awhile. Any help would be greatly appreciated

The software comes with a PDF that states that you can't return to previous versions.

    Default iphone 3.0

So does anyone know if you install this beta on the phone will you be able to upgrade to the final release? I'm reading it locks the phone into test mode? I don't want to install this on my phone and find out I can't ever use it as my every day phone. Has anyone installed this yet?

    iPhone OS 3.0 hands-on!

Looks like Engadget has it working with full AT&T reception. And by "We're not saying how, but we got hooked up with the beta of iPhone OS 3.0.", it can be assumed it was not from Apple.

Hopefully they made a 2G version of the beta .

Don't worry guys, I'm 100% sure that the dev team will hook us up just like they did with the 2.0 betas. Just give it some more time and don't upgrade prematurely as you probably don't want to be out of a phone for the next couple of months.
