Default Any success upgrading iPhone 2G 3.0 b3 to b4?

Anyone had any success or failures with upgrading from pwned iPhone 2G on beta 3 to beta 4? I'm unsure if the activation will stick.

Worked fine for me, but my UUID is on a dev's list and I'm an AT&T subscriber

I could not update it using iTunes 8.2 on windows xp (received error 3014) but i was able to do so on my Mac. iPhone remained activated after the update.

for gods sake , s.o. tell me

1-) the activation (that's mentioned with UDID code for betas)

2-) and the activation ,the phone's acceptance of non-supported sim-cards (slide for emergency screen)

    are the SAME ?

i'm on the dev list , but cannot pass activation (the second one i mentioned above)

in reply to myself, I tried upgrading from beta 3 to beta 4 just now.
    didn't work.

however, it did work to downgrade to 2.0.2 via DFU, quickpwn it with RC3 and update to beta 4.
    stayed unlocked and activated

Well, here's how it worked for me on my iPhone 2G, unofficial SIM:

Pwned 2.2.1 (NOT QuickPwn!!), then UPDATE (no Restore) directly to Beta 4. My UDID is registered with the developer program. This is necessary since iTunes 8.2 checks it before updating. Activation and unlock survive, though.

did u use winpwn if not quickpwn ?

i think activation will survive that way but once 3.0 installed iphones really struggle not to go back to 2.x

errors are tough to mess with
