    Default 3.0 jailbreak?

I know the dev-team isnt going to release their jailbreak until the summer in any official form for 3.0 and i understand why, my question is, where would someone find the information on how to manually jailbreak on their own? I assume the process is very similar to the prior jailbreaks with an announcement coming practically the same day as release of 3.0 beta that its jailbreakable. I apologize if this has already been answered somewhere.

Why would they wait? Since you said you understand why. I don't see why they would. The type of people that would upgrade to 3.0 now are the same type of people that would jailbrake their phone. Why wait if they can? I don't get it

And since when can we jailbreak on our own without one the official tools. If this is possible, then that would be great because I'm contemplating reverting back to 2.2.1 if they don't release jailbreak soon

they've specifically said on the comments on the last blog post that they are waiting till 3.0 final (thats what i got from it) the reason i understand is if it DOES take some new exploit they found, there is no reason to give apple the chance to patch it up before final. And you need to think outside of the box, not your rationale for running 3.0, 3.0 is a DEVELOPER preview, there are many more developers installing it that actually write software for the phone verse proponents of jailbreak.

The dev team will release a updated pwnage tool as soon as they are confident the release is stable. They have zero reason not to jailbreak the beta (unless lazy), since the beta is 100% jailbreakable. They released a pwnage tool for the first few 2.0 betas last year, but quit when they noticed it was unnecessary. (and I believe they didnt want to reveal there method) Many people are wanting the features of 3.0, and as soon as the filesystem key is found I expect to see a few unofficial pwnage options.

    Default 3.0 jailbreak

Dev-Team says that it is possible... confirmed, actually. So where is the Quickpwn for it? ... I would like to have a modified version of the 3.0, even if it is beta.

Can the dev-team update their quickpwn?

That's true for UNLOCKING, not for JAILBREAKING.
The new jailbreak method relies on a weakness in the hardware, so it's safe to assume Apple can't prevent it unless they change the hardware, regardless of the software version.

Now, unlocking is different because it requires a fault to be found in the baseband, which is why the Dev-Team doesn't unlock the baseband in the 3.0 beta right away.

That said, they are not releasing the jailbreak before the final 3.0 firmware comes out. It's their policy and they are sticking to it.

That's true, but they dropped support for the newer betas at one point.

I thought that was because they hadnt found the infixable exploit. I'm finally running 3.0, and wish I could theme it
