What version of redsn0w? What version of iTunes/iPhone OS?

Can you post the restore log from iTunes (post it on pastebin or pastie and then link that to here)

The iPhone restore log can generally be found at

%AppData%\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Updater Logs on a windows machine

%appdata% is an enviromental variable. It expands to different value depending on windows OS and your username.

Just copy and paste it into the start menu/run dialog. It will open the correct folder.

You don't need to restore again. Pastebin the log that failed with that error code.

What were you running before you upgraded to 3.1.2?

I think that was 3.1.2, not sure because when I connected to itunes it just told me to restore it and that's when the error 1011 appear

    pastebin - collaborative debugging tool

I bought the phone on ebay like this, I thought that can be fixed with just DFU and restore, just like others.

Now 3.1.3 is out you need to be careful to use shift-click restore in iTunes and then navigate to an IPSW

Your problem is related to this error message "Error: Baseband bootloader is too old; update to 1.8 or later and try again"

It might not be possible to fix this. Any attempts to fix this will require downgrading your OS to 1.x level. I can't help you fix this, I don't have a guaranteed fix and I am simply too busy.

I was in the same boat, and now my iphone 2g is on version 3 and shows imei/wifi/bluetooth/modem, but no signal of operator or wifi...

I think is the baseband or the bootloader problem, if someone could give a hint, please take a look here > http://www.hackint0sh.org/f207/109736.htm

Ok, is it any way to downgrade to 1.1.4?

Or point me to the right direction.

    Thanks for your help.
