    Default Won't boot into installer!

I have a Toshiba NB300 netbook and have been trying to install Snow Leopard, first i tried iAtkos S3 on a usb drive and it just didn't work. When i tried to run off the usb it would just skip to the next thing listed on the boot list as if i chose that instead of the usb. No matter what i tried it just wouldnt work, it might be worth mentioning i also installed something else on a second usb which i think was supposed to let you install a retail disk when i tried booting off that drive it DID run but the stuff on there was useless i think and it just has the apple logo and loading thing for ages (left it up there for around an hour and a half and nothing happened, plus the apple logo was the large gray 2d type and not the newer one i think snow leopard install should have)

I presumed it was issues with partitioning usb drive in windows which would explain why all guides only explain how to do it with Macs so i got an external dvd drive and burnt iAtkos to a dvd (single layer if that makes any difference) using ImgBurn and expected it to work normally, but exactly the same thing continued to happen. Checked the MD5 of my iAtkos iso and it's all fine, so downloaded Hazard's Snow Leopard and once again exact same thing (after 2 failed attempts by ImgBurn to burn it). I was obviously a bit annoyed so put the disc in my laptop and the first attempt it got to some kind of pre-install screen for it and i'm sure it would have worked if i continued to install it there, so i'm pretty sure there is a bios setting or something i'm missing on the Toshiba.

Does anyone have any idea of what i could be doing wrong or should try? Plenty of people have installed OSX on Nb200s and similiar netbooks, including a few people on nb300 i think but no guides or anything i can find refer to the problem i'm having. If it changes anything, which i cant see why it would, i currently have Linux installed on it - and that installed just fine.

EDIT: I'm thinking of taking my netbooks SSD out and putting it in an external bay and installing through my laptop with settings for the netbook and then putting the ssd back in the netbook - should i run into any problems?

Nah, you must have had a different problem - mine would get nowhere. I ended up getting it working by using a different usb cable, was weird because the drive would show up and everything but obviously the cable i was using must have been shitty.

Thanks, i'm having issues reinstalling now -.- rushed with the settings first time around and didn't put the ps/2 kexts on so had to redo it and keeps crashing or having problems lol. Going to let it cool down, burn a new disk (might have scratched the disc a bit by moving the external around a bit lol) and try again.

Maybe you should try iAtkos S3 V2/another snow leopard installer?
