I downloaded this original retail OSX 10.6 dmg file: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (Final Retail) (download torrent) - TPB)

I used this simple straight forward guide: Snow Leopard in VMware Windows 7 | Redmond Pie

But I get the following error screen always when 8 minutes are left for the installation:


I use the following software:
VMware® Workstation 7.1.4
Windows 7 Ultimate, 32-bit

And the following hardware:
QuadCore Intel Core i7, 2933 MHz
ASUS P6X58D Premium MoBo
DDR3-1333 X 3 (3063 MB)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti (1024 MB)
Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio Sound Card
Samsung SyncMaster 2233RZ [22" LCD]
WDC WD1002FAEX-007BA0 ATA Device

OK, so let me rephrase the title... falid to load kext com.apple.iokit.iostoragefamily.

But that didn't matter since I restarted the VM and booted regularly
and the system finally opened up Mac OS X!
