yes my touchpad works now thx

for the kext, i don't know how to use kext utility ...

But before reinstall this kext, i just reboot two times the pc, and at the second boot, the pc block on this message

    loaded HFS+ file: [System/Library/CoreServices/SytemVersion.plist] 479 bytes from 4254910

Any ideas ? Maybe we uncheck EvOReboot.kext ?

So i need to reinstall again to try the reinstallation of the kext

no, that has nothing to do with the EvOreboot as far as i know.
try to boot again. and don't forget busratio=?? bootflag:p

kext utility is simple, i had to find out too but, you place it on your desktop or in your dock and then you have to drag the kext you wanna install to the kext utility icon

so if i understand it correctly, you had a panic, so you reinstalled, and then after first boot you got this problem, meaning you'll have to reinstall again?

yeah okay, that is weird, but i don't think it is because of evoreboot, cuz that only fixes the fact that the shutdown and restart buttons do nothing at some laptops,

i know it's a pain to get it working, with all those reinstalls, i've been busy for 4days now xD and now it is finally getting somewhere =D

it seems this is caused by chameleon rc4, but as you have(supposedly) installed RC5 i dont know what it could be as that one is supposed to fix that prob.
so i suggest to start up your iatkos disc, and install the chameleon rc5 bootloader from there, you'll get a terminal window asking what disk and what partition and then it is done, and hopefully it works again
else just reinstall and make sure too select rc5 bootloader, not rc4 and you should be fine according to what i read

no problem we'll figure it out together as i'm also still just trying out and reinstalling and trying out and reinstalling, but i just found out that you can also just use terminal from the iatkos setup to delete any panic causing kexts.., i'm gonna find out how to do that, would be alot easier and faster!

i'll be going to my bed also in a few, so i'll be hearing from ya then

i can confirm that the Atheros AR9285 works perfectly!
i was at school today and i tried it, and it does work, so the problems i had with the ip adress are caused by my router

i tried updating to 10.6.5 with the comboupdate package, all went well, but when it rebooted it stayed loading at the apple logo:S
    dunno what caused it..

    edit:
confirmed that we cannot update to 10.6.5 it just stays loading this time i tried to replace the kernel before reboot, but still doesnt boot
i dunno what it could be, so soon(hope tonight) i'll try to update to 6.4, hope that will succeed

edit2: it seems even people with real macs have this problem after update and some say it finally booted after an half an hour of loading so i'll try disk repair and after that let it boot and see if it's true
