Troubles on a GA-P55A-UD4P board.
Hi all,
I'm now on the third consecutive day of trying to get a hackintosh to work. So far I've ran into about a million problems (despite following all the "best" tutorials), but have finally got OSX SL more-or-less running on my new PC.
The current situation is this:
I can boot with iBoot and see the new OSX install; running this install brings me to the Apple "loading" screen, and after a little while the computer reboots w/o any messages. I can boot in safe/verbose mode (-x -v flags) and that brings me to the log-in screen - also without any apparent errors. I can log in, but am restricted to the 1024x768 resolution. Network doesn't seem to be working, so getting files on to the machine is a pain.
Also, if I don't use the OS for 10-15 minutes, it hangs. This may have to do with it trying to turn off the hard drive or some other power-efficiency thing, I'll disable those...
Any ideas for the rebooting issue during regular boot up? How can I get network (& other) drivers on there?
Comp specs:
- motherboard: Gigabyte P55A-UD4P (using the latest F11 bios)
- cpu: Intel i7 860
- ram: Patriot 1x4GB (got another 4GB stick waiting to be installed) DDR3 1333
- video: EVGA GTX460
- hd: western digital 1GB SATA3
- legit copy of Snow Leopard

Just swapped out the video card for my other PC's EVGA 8600GTS - booted up fine in normal mode, and resolution is now set properly. Looks like my new video card is the culprit of boot up issues. Any ideas for how I can get it to work?
Still need to get network drivers and all that on here... not sure how.

Were you ever able to get this to work? I have a very similar configuration.
