Trouble with SL 10.6 on EeePC 1005HA
Hello,
I've been trying to load snow leopard on my Asus eeepc 1005HA but I am having a little trouble with Netbook Installer. I read initially that I was supposed to install only the chameleon 2.0 portion onto a USB drive to then boot up from.
Trouble is, when I attempt to install NBI onto the USB drive, it says that something isn't compatible and shuts down before install. I have tried this on a mac with 10.6 osx and NebookInstaller 0.8.3 RC4.app.zip and 0.8.4 RC1, but neither has worked.
If anyone can link me to a good tutorial/program/solution I would be very grateful.
I am using the method where I have the disk image of mac osx install on a 8 GB flashdrive and I need to get chameleon and the other files on to it.

well you need to uncheck everything but the first two and say ok or do it anyway and it should work. anyway that's how I did it.
GL I will look for the tut laters, but if you search on insanely mac for Sl on 1005ha you should be able to find instructions, let me know if you can't find it the poster for the guide is imperiopolis or something but someone else started the thread

Install freeze
Okay, I got the bootloader working, I had to install the bootmaker, then the bootloader afterwards.
New problem though: I have been installing from USB, but it says 7 minutes left, and it has been about an hour so I'm thinking it froze. I went with a step-by-step guide here, partitioning everything correctly, I am just wondering what might be making it freeze near the end - I haven't been able to find anything anywhere regarding that.
THanks!
