Trouble installing snow leopard on HP dv6449us
I'm trying to install Mac OS 10.6 on my HP pavilion laptop(dv6449us).
I was able to create and hack a bootable snow leopard disk on my USB thumb drive...I think, as i haven't been able to test it yet. My problem lies in that the Phoenix bios (f.42) setup utility doesn't allow me to make any of the necessary changes required; i.e. AHCI mode, ACPI suspend type, among others. In fact, there is not much that I CAN change, besides the boot order. I did try to boot from the thumb drive without making the changes to the bios, but it just froze up.
If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. I am trying to learn cocoa and I spend a lot of time on the road, where I can't access my iMac. I just can't justify spending another $1000+, right now.
Thanks!
Joe
