Toshiba Satellite L300-13s ...HELP!!!...
Have a Satellite L300-13S, and have tried everything to install mac OSX. I have tried Iaktos S3, V7, 1.0, patched versions, Kalyway, and anything I can find on TPB. I nearly always get Release_I386 or a blank screen or some sort of error.
I think it has something to do with my AMD cpu, but have no idea. I am now thinking about upgrading my AMD with Intel. I also have installed kalyway and iatkos on my desktop so kind of know what I am doing.
Cheers. COB

Most of the AMD CPU are supported, so that may not be the problem.
You could post your specs, relevant to OSX installation, along with error/failure. It's easier for others to offer some help.

Specs
Specs are:
AMD Turion Dual Core Processor RM-70
(1.9GHz, 1600 Mhz, 1MB Cache)
3GB memory
160GB hard drive
ATi Radeon 3100 Graphics card
Archive.zip
I used iatkos 7i this time but that is the code that normally comes up when the process freezes. I press F8, then '-v'. Tried '-x' as well. If I can get this sorted I'll be chuffed.

You know that AMD can't take vanilla kernel right?
The closest is 9.5, 9.8 Voodoo or Legacy.
Also try this boot options
-x -v cpus=1 (and/or busratio=20)

same
tried those and keeps coming up with the same RELEASE_I386 error.
With the voodoo thing, I used ideneb v1.3 and iatkos v7 which are meant to work with AMD.

I got iDeneb 1.6 worked with my AMD, iAtkos v7 doesn't work too well.
You could check your BIOS settings. ACPI enable, disable all CPU extra features,
Power/ACPI at S3, HFET 32 bit.

Okay I went into the bios and there are basically no options for acpi or hfet. I turned Dynamic CPU frequency mode from dynamic to always low, but made no difference when using both iatkos v7 and ideneb v1.3. Keep getting this release error.
Pictures of bios:
Bios.zip
Will download ideneb v1.6 over night...
iDeneb v1.6 10.5.8 Lite Edition - Demonoid

iDeneb v1.6 10.5.8 Lite Edition - Demonoid I believe you as some of those BIOS got not much option.
Check for iso integrity and burn DVD at slowest speed.
Use those boot options to boot.

I dont think it is the iso integrity as i have tried the exact same disks on a different laptop and they boot fine into the installation.
Is it worth swapping my laptop hard drive and another...
