Toshiba Satellite C650-154 Laptop Hackintosh Boot Guide
Hi Guys,
I have a Toshiba Satellite C650-154 Laptop, have had various success in booting into OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard, but dont seem to be able to get OSX 10.6 fully operational.
Is there a install guide?
I only seem to be able to boot into 10.6 in safe mode using:
-x busratio=22 cpus=1
would welcome some help with this i3 350M processor.
there seems to be very little information on the net for the actual motherboard etc as well?
hope someone can help!

when you first install if your system is 32bit u need to hit F8 and type in -v -xarch=i386. here's my set up hope it helps u, use it as a guide with hazard intel amd 10.6.2:
Here are my steps and all my settings.
System: windows 7 32bit
processor: Amd athlon x2 5200 64
Motherboard: Nvidia
audio: legacy hd
network: broadcom 440x
My steps:
I already had win 7 installed & partitioned it for mac (Win 7 1st, Mac 2nd)
After boot from dvd, press F8
type in, -v -xarch=i386 (arch section is needed when 32bit)
after it runs, do the disk utility - select partition u created, hit erase, then select mac osx (journaled) and name your partition, hit erase (need to erase after each attempt wen your adjusting your settings or you'll get an error), wen done quit disk utility. Hit continue accept agreement, select drive hit continue (i think it says continue) select custom and here are my settings.
Mac osx 10.6.2
Bootloader: chameleon rc3 Pce Fi 10.5 (dont knw why it says pc only on mine but ignore that)
Kernel: Legacy 10.2.0
Graphics: Nvincjet
Audio: NONE (picked it up on its own)
Network: still working on network (ideas will be nice)
Systemsupport:Smbiosresolver
Cmos: ElliotForceLegacyrtc
AMD patch
Hit done, install and you should be good. If problems occur such as mac logo then restart automatically or black screen after logo. It's your graphic setting or Network settings so don't freak, just adjust them (CHOOSE Only 1) till it starts up fine. As posted up top, they worked for me.

Toshiba Satellite C650-154 OSX 10.6.3 install Guide
Hi Dudes,
think i've nearly cracked the install on Toshiba Satellite C650-154 to install OSX 10.6.3.
I used the iboot download, not the legacy iboot version.
1. boot with iboot in cd drive.
2. at prompt eject iboot disk and change for OSX 10.6.3
3. Press F5 the osx disk should then appear.
4. type: -x -v busratio=22 cpus=1 then press enter.
5. OSX should then install, you should then get to the osx install screen.
6. goto disk utilities and prepare your disk for install( there are plenty of guides on how to do this)
7. once disk prepared quit disk utilities and install OSX, (only have just the system files for install, uncheck all others)
8. once installed restart and boot with iboot disk, same as before.
9. once at prompt select Snow Leopard hard drive and type: -v busratio=22 cpus=1 then press enter.
10. you should then boot into OSX and fill in all your details and most of osx should work.
things i have found that dont work are the following:
Wireless card not found.
display only set to 1024.
to be honest i have only done it this morning, so i will have more of a look at it later and post what i find.
let me know if anyone find any problems with what i have put.

Ok installed as the above same problems with the wifi etc, but should I have to use iboot each time i boot into mac osx on my laptop, or have I done something wrong.
