Default Time Machine "Back In Time"

Hey everyone. First off this forum is great. I got everything working on my HP Pavilion Laptop with 10.6.2 except for my wifi but i got a broadcom wifi card on the way which is the same chipset the macbooks use... but anyways. I just finished setting up Time Machine using FreeNAS. backup is working now to my FreeNAS box. now the issue i am faced with is after the backup. i modified some files to create a few backups. I then "went back in time" or whatever its called to pull up the "space like interface" with the timeline and stuff. but i get noting, all that happends is 2 finder windows open up and i cannot click on anything except for the main finder window thats open. once i close it i can click the other window. but the time machine interface isent showing up... is there something i can do or is this a known problem.

    Thanks in advance
