Hello everyone . I cannot say that I've ever used OSX before however I have extensive knowledge in UNIX based Operating Systems, I'm particularily fond of the linux distro Fedora.

Anywho, this isn't the first time I've attempted OSX86 installation. I have attempted IAktos and IDeneb (leopard) both with similar unsuccessful results. I would not be able to surpass the apple logo and it seems to "load forever". With the installation disc inside it simply prompts me to restart. Here are my system specifications:

Mobo: Asus P5K SE/EPU
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 3ghz, 6mb L2 cache, 1333 Mhz FSB, 45nm
VCard: Zotac GeForce 8600GTS DDR2 1GB Video Memory
Modem Card: Dynex Gigabit PCI Adapter

I would prefer to run Snow Leopard, but wouldnt mind settling for leopard.
Any help? Distros? Bios Settings?

So I obtained the universal edition of snow leopard and am obtaining the retail version in .dmg format. Is .dmg burnable to a dvd and will it be properly read as an image? Furthermore which among the two would you suggest. I would really like to find some guides for this, an IAktos guide as well. Google isn't helping.
